O que é o Xbench?
O ApSIC Xbench é uma ferramenta de gestão de terminologia e controle de qualidade para traduções. O Xbench tem duas versões: 2.9 (grátis) e 3.0 (paga). Por que usar o Xbench na sua revisão
Depois de instalar qualquer uma das versões do Xbench no seu computador, você vai precisar criar uma conta para acessar a ferramenta. Feito isso, você já pode utilizar a ferramenta para incorporar bases terminológicas, criar listas de verificação personalizadas, criar e consultar glossários na ferramenta e gerar um relatório para verificar a qualidade da sua tradução.
No Xbench 3.0, você tem vários recursos para manter a qualidade da sua tradução durante o trabalho e antes da entrega para o cliente. Veja o que você pode fazer com a ferramenta:
Durante a tradução:
- Consultar termos de um glossário, trocando do ambiente da CAT tool para o glossário facilmente por meio de atalhos de teclado;
- Incorporar termos do glossário à sua tradução na CAT tool automaticamente por meio de atalhos de teclado;
- Consultar termos tanto no idioma de origem (source) quanto no idioma de chegada (target).
Após a tradução:
- Fazer a verificação ortográfica dos arquivos traduzidos;
- Verificar inconsistências linguísticas entre o texto original e o traduzido (termos ausentes, pontuação discrepante etc.);
- Verificar inconsistências de formatação entre o texto original e o traduzido (tags, links, espaços, símbolos etc.);
- Verificar inconsistências numéricas (datas, valores, horários) e alfanuméricas
- Verificar inconsistências terminológicas (se “house” está no glossário como “casa” mas foi traduzido como “moradia”, o relatório sinaliza como um erro a ser corrigido);
- Criar listas de verificação personalizadas para cada projeto (por exemplo, sinalizar termos que não devem ser usados ou que não devem ser traduzidos e até mesmo instruções de estilo).
